In 2010 the 16th 'Multimedia in the education' international
conference is to be held. This time
University College of Nyíregyháza
will be the host of this program.

The objective of the conference is to support the exchange of
experiences among professionals in various areas of education,
research and media production and to promote their meeting with the
well tried and the most current technologies, their users or industry
contributors, distributors.
Its additional purpose is to provide an introduction and publication
possibility for teachers, researchers, professionals and students both
in Hungary and over the frontier to introduce and discuss new results
in a wide professional circle by means of lectures, posters,
exhibitions, publications and demonstrations. On the basis of the
lectures, technical papers suggested by the professional committee will
be published in the ’Journal of Applied Multimedia’. The journal is
available at:

A new element in the conference is the connection of the multimedia
technology with various disciplines, ranging from the latest results
of the most different technologies to the technical, artistical and
methodological implementations and to their introduction. We think it
important that with the full knowledge of the conference topics the
artistic workshops (such as spectacle design, photo, theatre etc.)
and the institutions dealing with library, information science and
media education can also join the conference by sharing their
multimedia experiences with the participants.
The submitted and the presented lectures will be available on DVD as a
conference publication.
During the conference the speeches will be also monitored live on the
webpage of the conference.

- Introduction of the classical multimedia developments, findings and
applications,
- Interactive blackboard and its usage in the education,
- Programming in the multimedia environment,
- M-learning as a new training tool. Possibilites of making learning
more personal and unbounded,
- Relationship of digital knowledge bases and frame systems.
Connection, access and participation in virtual space,
- Library, multimedia, education. New place and role of the libraries
in the period of modern, multimedia and network learning,
- Connection of copyright and electronic contents. Are there any
copyright restrictions in the cyberspace? Personal or community
knowledge,
- Role of the multimedia tools in teaching the handicapped people and
in improving their life,
- 'Serious Games',
- Relationship of public services and multimedia,
- Multimedia and its frontiers.
Possible forms of the professional introduction in the conference:
- plenary and session lectures,
- poster-demonstrations, electronic posters,
- presentation of empirical, methodological and technical solutions,
- videoconference, online registration,
- a separate 'student session' for those who are participating in the
BA and MA education,
- the PhD students can present their lecture in a session that
corresponds to their research field,
- contribution to round table discussions,
- appearance as an exhibitor.
